I recently bought a new drum set for the studio. I have to replace the factory heads with new ones and, honestly, I've never done it before. Does anyone have any tips? Top heads tight, bottom heads loose? Bottom heads tight, top heads loose? Should i dampen the bottom heads? How do I cut back on the overtones? What about the snare? It seems to be the trickiest part.

Because I am an information junky, and because I hate writing/talking about myself, I am going to use this journal to occasionally share interesting facts (don't run away, I promise it will be fun. And yes I will still post pictures of parties, etc.) So, lets get started:

Everyone knows Desi Arnaz as the creator and star of "I Love Lucy". But, did you know that he was the inventor of the Multicamera setup? Before this all television programs were aired live with the primary market being New York. The rest of the country had to watch kinescope images (the result of placing a 35mm camera in front of a television monitor to tape and air later in other time zones). With the mutlicamera setup he was able to tape as many takes as he wanted, edit, and allow everyone in the country to see high quality images of the show. He was also the first to use a live studio audience. With these two ideas he single-handedly invented the sitcom as we know it.

He also is credited as being the inventor of the rerun, AND THE MOTHERFUCKING CONGA LINE! (in his early days as a big band leader)

I just watched the ending of Dawson's Creek. It's funny how much of a punching bag Jen became after six seasons. Shes a former everything addict, her parents don't love her, she has no friends, the one friend she has dies in front of her, Dawson doesn't want her, her grandmother kicks her out, she becomes a drunk, never has a boyfriend, cant interact with people, has to go to therapy, her grandmother gets cancer, she becomes a single parent, then she dies. Man, poor girl.

Party last night at the Lexi house. Everyone was watching porn on the television when the cops showed up (keep in mind they showed up at the slider which is directly in front on the television). It was kind of weird having the cops bust in right behind us as we were watching it. Like having your mom bust in but with a gun.
